Associate of Applied Science (AAS) in Respiratory Care

CRTs, TAKE THE NEXT STEP!  This blended online program allows a convenient method for Certified Respiratory Therapists, currently working in the field of Respiratory Care, to obtain their AAS and become eligible to sit for the advanced Registered Respiratory Therapist national credential.

Students will be allowed 39 credit hours for their CRT degree.  The following additional courses will be required:

• Survey of Old/New Testament
• Introduction to Speech Communication
• General Psychology

Respiratory Care Courses

• Mechanical Ventilation
• Disease Management I and II
• Advanced Assessment
• Neonatal/Pediatrics
• Management
• Seminar
• National Exam Prep
• Clinical Practicum III and IV
• Internship

National Exam Preparation is held during the summer June term of each year. Kettering Seminars comes to the campus to give students a week long review for RRT national examinations.

* Practicums and the Internship will be addressed on an individual basis.
