About Bethel College Online
Established in 1842 in McLemoresville Tennessee, Bethel College is the only college of the Cumberland Presbyterian Church. Bethel moved to its present site in McKenzie, Tennessee in 1872 and continues to serve the region as premier institution of higher learning.
Bethel College is committed to academic excellence in all graduate level courses and programs. According to Bethel College’s Graduate Education Department, the College’s online courses exist to offer those individuals seeking a Master’s of Arts in Education or a Master’s of Arts in Teaching high quality educational opportunities. In addition, the online graduate course offerings include newly developed elective courses that provide educators with an opportunity to earn 30 credit hours beyond a Master’s Degree.

Academic Information
Admission to graduate study is required of all students before they can enroll in any graduate course for any reason. Admission to a Master’s Degree program or a certification, licensure, or endorsement program is determined through separate department-specific application processes.
Requirements for admission to graduate study are:
- A completed application for admission to graduate studies
- A $25 application fee
- An official copy of the baccalaureate transcript must be sent to the Bethel College Graduate Office. This may be done in advance or the student may sign a transcript request form at registration. No more than 12 hours of graduate credit earned while not enrolled in a graduate degree program may be applied to any degree.
