Administrative Certification Program - Superintendent

The University of the Cumberlands' School Superintendent program of study is designed for individuals who have a master's degree in education and have graduated from an institution of higher learning with a minimum grade point average of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.

Additional requirements include having successfully completed the Kentucky Teacher Internship Program or having at least three years full-time teaching experience, two of which are from outside the state of Kentucky.  Candidates must also have two years experience in one of the following areas: school principal, supervisor of instruction, guidance counselor, director of pupil personnel, director of special education, school business administrator, local district coordinator of vocational education, or a coordinator, administrator or supervisor of district-wide service. Candidates must have a transcript on file with the University's Registrar's Office and be accepted by the Graduate Admissions Committee for entry into this program.
