
Master of Divinity Degree
At Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary, The Master of Divinity Degree is an 81-hour degree program intended to provide broad-based training for a variety of ministry leadership roles within the Church.
Individuals possessing this degree will be well qualified for a wide variety of positions including Pastor, Associate Pastor, Missionary, Chaplain, Student or Collegiate Minister, Director of Missions, Evangelist, Social Work Minister and many others. A prerequisite for entering this program is a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution.
This Master of Divinity Degree (MDiv) program requires significant biblical study and serious historical/theological reflection. Additional requirements are practical competence in leadership, administration, teaching, evangelism and pastoral care. A minimum of three years is required to complete this degree. Golden Gate is currently seeking approval to offer up to two thirds of the Master of Divinity degree on-line.
