Master of Divinity Degree

The Master of Divinity (MDiv) degree at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary is an 81-hour program intended to provide broad-based training for a variety of ministry leadership roles within the Church.

Individuals with this degree are eligible for a wide variety of positions including Pastor, Associate Pastor, Missionary, Chaplain, Student or Collegiate Minister, Director of Missions, Evangelist, Social Work Minister and many others. The prerequisite for entering this program is a bachelor's degree or its equivalent from an appropriately accredited institution.

The Master of Divinity degree program requires significant biblical study and historical/theological reflection. Additional requirements are practical competence in leadership, administration, teaching, evangelism and pastoral care. A minimum of three years is required to complete this degree.
