Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies online degree is a 48-hour program that is designed for those ministering in an international setting or multicultural domestic environment. Graduates with this degree possess extensive knowledge of theology, Bible exposition, leadership, anthropology and intercultural communication.

Program Description

The Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies online program enables graduate students to learn about other cultures and develop skills in a collaborative manner across cultural boundaries, in both the United States and beyond. This degree is intended for students who desire or are required to possess advanced training in ministering to another culture or in multicultural contexts. The courses use insights from theology, sociology, anthropology, history and communication theory.  Students will formulate Christian viewpoints related to global issues and explore solutions that apply to today's cross-cultural problems.

Once students begin the Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies online degree program, they will join a yearly cohort of learners. This cohort structure gives students the advantage of both traditional and online learning. Students will meet, learn and study during the three on-campus sessions required throughout the entire 36-month program. The friendships and collaboration will continue as students learn online and interact electronically with their professors and peers.

Once students complete the work for the Master of Arts in Intercultural Studies online degree program, they will have the opportunity to join their professors and colleagues on campus for the commencement ceremony.
