The Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree in Business - Entrepreneurship Emphasis online program prepares students to become small business owners, entrepreneurs, or professionals in other business-related fields. Students will acquire a well-rounded body of knowledge which will prepare them as ethically responsible business decision makers in a global economy.
Program Description
The AAS degree in Business - Entrepreneurship Emphasis online program provides a strong foundation of coursework in management, marketing, business ethics, law, finance, policy, human resources, international business, as well as basic courses in accounting, economics, and business communication. Currently, Hiwassee College offers 66 semester hours of online coursework, most of which are designed for transfer should the student wish to enter progressive degree programs at senor institutions.
Planned online courses include:
General Education Core (24 semester hours) - online courses that are basic in most college degree programs curriculum to include English, communication, math, computer information systems, psychology, and humanities.
Business - Entrepreneurship Core (42 semester hours) - online courses that are specific to the major to include introduction to business, economics, business communication, entrepreneurship, policy, accounting, marketing, management, law, finance, international business, human resource management, and ethics.
