Non-Master's Alternate Certification Program
Program Description:
The Non-Master's Alternate Certification Program is designed for working adults who hold a bachelor's degree or higher in any area and wish to obtain their teaching license.

Adult students enrolled in the Non-Master's Alternate Certification courses will have the opportunity to develop their teaching skills through a thorough, fast-track curriculum.
Quality and Convenience: The online teacher certification program at Louisiana College offers the same quality education as a traditional certification program, as it is comprised of the same courses pursued by traditional undergraduate on-campus students. Program Description: A non-master's certification program fulfills all of the requirements of, and provides the same rigor as, other certification routes. Candidates are assessed and evaluated using the same criteria as that used for the traditional teacher education program.

Requirements: The candidates must possess a bachelor's degree, have a GPA of 2.5 or higher, and pass PRAXIS exams.
Candidates do not have to teach on a temporary license while in the program.
