Managers facilitate the development and implementation of an effective safety and health management system. The mining operations manager also appoints superintendents, supervisors and other personnel who are capable of fulfilling specific tasks and responsibilities vital to the project. Managers must regularly examine the project plan to maximize production and worker performance.
