Rasmussen College in Minneapolis, Minnesota, has recently been accepted for Candidacy for Accreditation with the Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP).

The school will offer associate's and bachelor's online degrees for their 22 college campuses in five different states. The fields for the degrees will include management, entrepreneurship, public accounting, human resources, organizational leadership, marketing and Internet marketing.

"We strive for nothing short of excellence in the School of Business at Rasmussen College, and we recognize that ACBSP accreditation would not only be validation of the outstanding programs that we offer to our valued students, but it would also be an exceptional opportunity for them to graduate from an ACBSP - accredited college," said Kathy Heldman, director of the School of Business at Rasmussen College.

Rasmussen college, founded in 1900, is a private institution with over 14,000 students and 1,000 faculty members.

Graduates of a business program could launch lucrative careers in financial management. The Bureau of Labor Statistics estimates that median salaries for professionals in this field ranged between $77,280 and $134,940 during the 2008 fiscal year.
