Georgia Military College
Associate of Arts in Pre-Nursing
The nation-wide shortage of nursing professionals is a well documented opportunity for students who enjoy helping others and who wish to enter this service area of the sciences. Georgia Military College’s Associate of Arts degree in pre-nursing is a first step toward such a career in the health field. GMC graduates qualify for entry into two-year and four-year programs leading to the Associates of Nursing degree or the Bachelor of Science (BSN) degree or Registered Nurse (RN) program. Students in this program have as a goal to work toward improving the health of others and finding an area where employment demand is constant. The Georgia Military College Pre-nursing program provides the right foundation in science to meet this goal. Typical coursework involves chemistry, medical terminology, pharmacology, biology, anatomy and physiology, and microbiology. With a pre-nursing coursework foundation, graduates of this degree program are ready to enter the competitive medical career degree program of their choosing.
