Rank I in Educational Leadership
The Graduate Studies program at Union College offers students the ability to build upon their education at the Masters level by pursuing a Rank I program. Our Rank I programs allow students the chance to explore many areas in P-12 education and curriculum and instruction. These areas include special education, reading and writing, supervisor of instruction, and educational leadership/principalship.
The primary objective of the Rank I program in Educational Leadership and Principalship is to prepare students for service in the education field. This preparation includes an in-depth analysis of the administrative role that leaders in the education field play. Coursework and practicum requirements allow students to gain first-hand knowledge of the many aspects to the administrative and supervisory duties that are required of an educational administrator. Students also have the option of receiving Kentucky and National Principal certification based on their successful completion of the examinations required of both certifications.
